March 2015 - Floods, Golfing, Connecting, and Sales!

Good Morning, Happy Wednesday! 


Goodbye cruel snow...hello flooded viaducts!  Ahhh... Spring in Chicago.   Can you beat it?

Uhhh...YES.  OF COURSE.  And many of us have fled this month for spring break.  I wish all of you safe travels and am already jealous of the pictures I've been seeing on Facebook over the past few weeks.  I, personally, am heading south later today for my 
(9th) annual golf pilgrimage.  Along with 11 other friends, we will open our season hacking around beautiful Reynolds Plantation outside of Atlanta for five un-snowy rounds.  Then in a few short weeks, The Masters will throw more fuel on my golfing fire.  I'm glad I have a cool wife.  
 

I feel blessed to be out every day meeting an eclectic group of people and businesses.  This monthly digest reflects my journey through sharing new sales & business ideas, Chicagoland happenings, new music for your soundtrack, and other things that caught my eye along the way.  I always appreciate your replies, thoughts, and ideas  - as well as taking time out to enjoy it.

Off Beat

 
I once had the thrill of rock-climbing in Lake Tahoe - even with a rope anchored high above me, I was terrified and trembling.  While I wasn't hanging upside down or anything, the wall was at a straight-up, 90 degree angle - fairly similar to the one this guy climbs amazingly fast with no ropes!  

After reading an article about personality types, I hopped online to take the Myers Briggs assessment.  Drumroll please...(dzzzzzzzzzzzup!) ENFP: "The Campaigner".  This means I'm an energetic, curious, friendly communicator that tends to be emotional, independent and can lose focus.  I immediately thought... kind of reminds me of this newsletter!  If you'd like to take assess yourself for free online, spend 10 minutes here.  It was very insightful and interestingly, spot on.

Spotify Playlist - I originally made this play list a couple years ago.  Most contain lyrics that in some way, shape, or form reminded me of my sales career.  Regardless of your profession, this is a fun playlist of sing-a-longs describing life's ups and downs.
